mole national park ghana

Covering an area of nearly 5000 square meters, Mole National Park is the largest national park in Ghana. Composed of lands that were set aside as a wildlife refuge in 1958, it also boasts the widest variety of wildlife in any of Ghana’s national parks and is the only place in Ghana where you can experience elephants in the wild. The park, which lies in northwest Ghana, can be accessed via the town Larabanga. Recently, the park has received attention for its traditionally-made honey, which has become Ghana’s first fair-trade commodity.
